Meet Dr. Michele

DMD, FIALD, FIAOMT

Dr. Michele Volchonok stands as a leading restorative dental specialist with a distinguished biological focus and expertise in biomimetic oral rehabilitative techniques. Her unique approach emphasizes the integration of minimally invasive procedures with a deep understanding of the biological connections and materials that influence a person’s oral health.

Dr. Michele found her passion for dentistry after going through an extensive orthodontic treatment during her high school years. In that time, while classmates were getting their braces removed, Dr. Michele instead had her front canines taken out and braces put on as she entered her freshman year of high school. Toothless and wired, she began shadowing her brother, Dr. Alex Volchonok, at his dental school clinic. With first hand patient interaction, she witnessed the transformative power of a functional bite and the confidence of a beautiful smile.

After four long years, Dr. Michele’s personal orthodontic journey came to an end when she got her braces off on the day of her prom! At this moment, she personally experienced the wonders gifted by a beautiful smile and, more importantly, how valuable her journey had been for her long term oral and overall health.

Inspired and propelled by her own experiences, Dr. Michele completed her dental training and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) with high honors from the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University. Since then, her commitment to additional education and mastery of advanced techniques distinguishes her as a leading expert in the dental field. She has completed training in the safe mercury amalgam removal technique (SMART), biologic material selection and allergy testing, minimally invasive laser-assisted regenerative techniques (LANAP), advanced cosmetic & functional oral rehabilitation, and functional orthodontics. In conjunction, she uniquely holds two additional fellowship certifications, including the Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.

Beyond her educational pursuits, Dr. Michele is deeply committed to giving back to the community. By volunteering in fundraising events for oral cancer research, or by participating in community outreach programs, Dr. Michele aims to always stay connected with her community and provide unparalleled support.
