Meet Dr. Alex

DMD, MS, FICOI, FIALD, FIABDM, FIAOMT

Dr. Volchonok is the co-founder of Tetrahealth Dentistry and a dual Ivy-League

trained Biologic Board-Certified Periodontist and Oral Implantologist with advanced

training in zirconia dental implants, pinhole gum rejuvenation, and laser-assisted new

attachment procedures (LANAP). He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School

of Dental Medicine and completed his periodontal specialty training at the Columbia

University. In addition to his dental training and specialization, he uniquely holds four

additional fellowship certifications including the International Congress of Oral

Implantologists, Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry, the International Academy of

Biologic Medicine & Dentistry, and the International Academy of Oral Medicine &

Toxicology.


Building on his success with AVPeriodontics, New York City’s first biologic periodontal practice, Dr. Volchonok expanded his vision for integrative oral-systemic health by founding Tetrahealth - an innovative practice that redefines dental care through the Four Pillars of Health Philosophy integrating biologic dentistry, medicine, and wellness to help to promote better oral-systemic health for patients. Dr. Volchonok also serves as the Director of the New York City Interdisciplinary Study Club and the former President of the Greenwich Dental Society. 


Dr. Volchonok is at the cutting edge of his field and is always pursuing additional education and mastery. In addition to his dental training and specialization, he uniquely holds four additional fellowship certifications including the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry, the International Academy of Biologic Medicine & Dentistry, and the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology. Dr. Volchonok is regarded as a leading expert on zirconia dental implants, pinhole gum rejuvenation, laser assisted new attachment procedure (LANAP) and cavitation surgery. Additionally, he is one of the only specialized dental surgeons in the United States who incorporates an integrative health approch and completed the certification requirements of the International Academy of Biologic Medicine & Dentistry.
